Short answer

Google retired Interview Warmup in spring 2026, and its page now redirects to general interview tips that suggest practising with Gemini Live. The closest free replacement is Huru, which offers unlimited mock interviews. Teal gives two free sessions and Yoodli five. Meenu is a paid option for one spoken interview question a day with feedback on filler words, pace and structure.

Key takeaways

  • Interview Warmup's address now redirects to Google's article on interview tips, which points to Gemini Live for practice.
  • Warmup transcribed your spoken answers and showed insights without grading them. Huru is the closest free match and goes further by scoring answers.
  • Interview copilots such as Final Round AI feed you answers during a real interview. That is a different job from practising.

What happened to Google Interview Warmup?

Google retired Interview Warmup in spring 2026. The last archived copy of the working tool is from March 2026, and by late April its address redirected elsewhere.[1]

The old address now opens Google's general article “How to Prepare for an Interview”, which suggests that “the Gemini mobile app offers Gemini Live, which you can use to simulate a real-time, conversational interview”.[2]

What did Interview Warmup do?

You spoke your answers to common interview questions and Warmup transcribed them in real time. It then showed insights such as the job-related terms you used, your most-used words and the talking points you covered.[1]

  • Its questions were written by industry experts, not generated by AI.
  • It deliberately did not grade your answers.
  • Google said it didn't save your audio or transcripts.

So a good replacement should let you answer out loud and show you what you said. Whether you also want a score is a matter of taste.

What are the best alternatives to Interview Warmup?

Prices are each company's own, checked on 16 October 2026.

Huru

Huru is AI mock interview practice: you answer on camera, get scored out of 100 on relevance, structure, specificity, impact and articulation, and see a stronger version of the same answer.[3]

  • Unlimited mock interviews and a library of over 50,000 questions at no cost.
  • Works in English, Spanish, Portuguese, German and French.
  • Watch out for: its own FAQ says it can occasionally mishear a word, and it doesn't name filler-word or pace measurements.

Teal Interview AI

Teal, a job-search platform, includes voice and video mock interviews with feedback on speaking pace, response length and engagement.[4]

  • Sits next to Teal's resume builder and job tracker.
  • Unlimited practice on Teal+.
  • Watch out for: the free plan allows only 2 practice sessions.

Big Interview

Big Interview pairs interview training lessons with an interview simulator and AI feedback on delivery and clarity, and sells to job seekers, workforce agencies and university career centres.[6]

  • Lessons and practice in one place.
  • A 100% refund if you don't see results within 30 days.
  • Watch out for: much of the product is course content rather than daily practice, and there's no free tier.

Meenu

Meenu gives you one realistic question a day for your goal (an interview, a pitch, a meeting), 15 seconds to think and 60 seconds to answer out loud. You then replay your answer with every filler word marked and get scores for pace, confidence and structure, plus a rewritten version of your own answer.

  • Works in 12 languages, including Hindi, Spanish, Japanese and Korean.
  • Built around short daily practice rather than long lessons or live-call monitoring.
  • Watch out for: there is no free plan ($9.99/month or $59.99/year), it does not coach you during live video calls, and it is a web app rather than an app-store download.

Is there a free alternative to Interview Warmup?

Yes. Huru says every feature for job seekers is free, including unlimited mock interviews.[3] Google itself points to Gemini Live in the Gemini app for conversational interview practice.[2]

Teal includes 2 free practice sessions[4] and Yoodli's free plan includes 5 roleplays in total.[5] Meenu has no free plan.

Should you use an interview copilot instead?

Some tools listen to a live interview and suggest answers on screen while you speak. They solve a different problem from Warmup, which helped you get better at answering yourself.

Final Round AI

Final Round AI's main product is an interview copilot that listens to a live interview and shows suggested answers in a private window; practice interviews are included.[7]

  • Mock interviews alongside the live copilot.
  • A 72-hour refund window on first quarterly or yearly purchases.
  • Watch out for: it is built to feed you answers during a real interview rather than to build your own speaking skill, and monthly plans can't be refunded.

Practising answers out loud builds a skill you keep for every interview. If you consider a copilot, check whether the employer allows it first.

Frequently asked questions

Is Google Interview Warmup still available?

No. Google retired it in spring 2026, and its address now redirects to a general Google article on interview tips that recommends practising with Gemini Live.

Did Interview Warmup save my answers?

Google said it didn't save your audio or transcripts. During a session you could copy a response or download the full transcript at the end, so anything you didn't download is gone.

Which alternative is closest to Interview Warmup?

Huru is the closest free match: you answer interview questions out loud and get feedback, with unlimited mock interviews. Unlike Warmup, it scores each answer and shows a stronger version of it.

What does Google recommend instead of Interview Warmup?

Google's interview tips article suggests the Gemini Live feature in the Gemini mobile app to simulate a real-time, conversational interview with structured feedback.
